bobby

my friend gave me assignment to write about these 8 words: Nadya Rusheva, Mountains, Piano, to Draw, Almaty, journeys, intuition, musician.

Nadya Rusheva:
I remember a thin old book with prints of her graphic works, and how it moved and amazed me. I could look and re-look at them for hours. They were very naive, spontaneous and emotionally precise. Since then I got a nudge into all this drawing stuff.

Mountains:
I grew up in mountains, hiked them every summer and enjoyed terrific view while walking. When I come back home, first thing I see as I get out of the plane is the huge range of these giants, and they always take my breath away. I dream to go to Himalais one day, and also I want to see Ands. mmmmm :)

Piano:
I am not a great pianist, but I do enjoy playing it. I partly was growing up in ballet-classes, where my mom would play for the dancers, so since 3-4 years old I am in this 'world'. I was 5 when I started playing it, by 9 I was playing Haydn's concerts and knew Mozarts biography in details, at the age of 13 I was playing 5-6 hours a day and got into a school for talented kids. And then I stopped.
After quite a gap, I returned to piano, but now focusing on jazz. Few days ago I was playing Debussi's "Claire de Lune" and my granny said that this music suits me very well. It was so pleasant to hear.

to Draw:
Drawing is cool. And it is one of my favorite past-times. My favorite drawing tool is ink or ball pen. I sometimes have attempts to keep a draw-diary, but then I give up and get to it every once in a while. I especially like to make super fast drawings of faces, and then meticulously working out the details for quite a time. My last drawing was of a drunk woman I saw in metro. But she was kind of elegant in her drunk sleep :D

Almaty:
the City of apples, of childhood, of hot summer and christmas card-like winter. A bit awkward and unelegant, but still charming. My closest friends, parents and, and my <3 are all there. In five weeks I am going to see them all!

Journeys:
My ideal future is: I work and then travel-travel-travel. Last year my friend was doing her Thesis on psychology of travelling. Yep, intercultural exchange is a great development source. Anyway, me wants to go to: India (Darjeling, Himalai, Goa, Mumbai), Bali, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Brazil, Chili, Peru, Italy, France, Spain, Sahara, North Pole, Stockholm, Japan, Siberia, etc etc etc. I would like to live for a while in a different country, pick up the language and travel around it. Those 'different countries' would be France, cause j'adore tout le francais, Italy cause it's wonderful, Spain, because today I've rewatched for the 10th time "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona".

Intuition:
It doesn't work when I answer a test, but I do pre-feel when something is going on. Like, this morning I had a feeling that I will not go to work...So I did not ^^ (I had a day-off)

Musician:
I do not have any associations about an abstract musician...But I do paint every once in a while musicians I especially like. Music is one of the most inspiring sources for me. Sometimes I get scared of how diverse and immense my appetites are.
